Neighbor is a Verb

While we are grounded from international travel, we continue to prayer walk our neighborhood and God is opening hearts.  After talking with one neighbor she suddenly whirled around and blurted out, “Should I be afraid?”  She’s from another country and is trying to figure out what’s happening in the turmoil here in the US.  That led to a deep conversation about culture and the Kingdom of God.  Another neighbor let us lay hands on her, pray for her and weep with her, thanking God that her son (who was a close friend of our son Ian before he died) survived a motorcycle crash.  Another neighbor would not let us walk by without joining us, even though she’s in her 80’s & using a walker.  Please pray with us, “Lord of the Local Harvest, open up for David & Renée doors for the word, so that they may speak forth the mystery of Christ.”

P.S. The Barbutti’s are continuing to make progress.  Thanks for praying.  Their support team is growing.  They are investing deeply in their marriage and family.  This is a difficult season for them, waiting and allowing God to do deep work in their hearts.  But it’s easy to see that God is clearly at work in and for them.

P.P.S. Our other daughter, Danielle, is moving to Colorado Springs with her family this week!  Then our son, Hudson, and his family will be visiting from the Middle East this fall.  Suddenly all but one of our children will be here for a season.  It will be rich.
