Bittersweet Departure

Our son has been released and we are with him and his family helping them to liquidate their household and pack to leave.  These days are truly bitter and sweet.  They are just beginning to feel the massive loss of leaving the region they’ve invested in so deeply for 7 years, mastering 2 new languages and giving themselves so beautifuly and fruitfully.  There are plenty of tears, but there is also a rich flow of love through deep connections.  This afternoon it was a joy to meet and pray with a refugee family that they baptized here in their home, and to observe their joy in reminiscing with beloved co-workers.  We are preparing to fly with them to our home in Colorado in a few days.  Loving Father, please heal these dear sacrificial servants and prepare them for the transitions ahead.
