A Malleable Moment

The college years are a pivotal season in the development of young men and women, a malleable moment that shapes the rest of their lives.  So, Renée and I are pleased that we’ve been asked to spend a couple of days this week investing in students at a summer training program for Californian students who will be spending the summer in the Colorado Rockies.  This reminds me of when Paul withdrew from the front lines of ministry and “took away the disciples” to invest in them intensively for an extended period at the School of Tyrannus.  Lord of the Harvest, please take some of David & Renée’s spirit and put it on these hungry students.

 PrayFirst!

P.S. The consultation in Rwanda was inspiring and fruitful!  Rwanda itself has experienced a miraculous renewal since the genocide horrifying slaughter of 1M people 30 years ago.  (Think Hotel Rwanda.)  Today Rwanda is a phenomenal demonstration of restorative justice.  Navigators who are fighting poverty, corruption and injustice in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Sierra Leon, South Africa, Malawi, Cambodia, The Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, The Congo, Canada, Kyrgyzstan and the USA came in feeling overwhelmed with the challenges they are facing, and left saying things like, “I came in empty but am leaving full,” “I no longer feel alone,” and “This will last.”  One man’s ministry has transformed the lives of 250,000 so far.  Among them we see the rising next generation of leaders for such context.  Here is a video of one of the inspiring ministries represented: https://youtu.be/P3sKvMDElfw?si=Rj9G4JnxDbFqZ8Qp.
