The Life I Want
18 months ago, we began initiating neighborhood parties. Then the pandemic hit. I’ve been sensing for some time that God is preparing a great harvest here and everywhere through this pandemic. Then, recently 3 of our neighbors came to us and asked us if we’d do another gathering, this time in our front yard. Those 3 families came, then many others came, and stayed until 11 PM! One woman I’d never met looked at me and said, “I’ve been watching your family. You have the life that I want.” Another neighbor came out for the first time in 9 years. At the end of the evening, he looked around at the gathering and said, “This right here is what the world needs!” Please pray for our neighborhood (and yours)! Lord, please continue to open doors for the word in our neighborhoods and anoint our lips with supernatural enabling grace so that we’ll know how to respond to each person. (Colossians 4:2-6)
P.S. Our IET meetings are going well. I’m inspired by our times in 1 John together. I sensed God’s blessing on one particularly difficult session that I led. Another session that I led was more difficult and humbling, but the outcomes were good. We work until 10:30 PM each night because of time zones, so I’m tired but breathing in God’s grace.
