Devoting Ourselves
I love our International Executive Team. I feel like we are doing Acts 6:4 more than any other team I’ve been in, devoting ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word. Renee will be leading two strategic prayer sessions. I will be leading several strategic leadership sessions. One session on missionary sending seems particularly challenging and pivotal. Plus, we’re adding a new member to our team this week: Chee Hoe Koay is a Malaysian from a Buddhist background, and former director of our work in the Asia Pacific. As we meet this week and next, please pray, “Good Shepherd, please strengthen these shepherd servants to serve well and walk in your ways.”
P.S. The Arab and Berber leaders of The Schools or Tyrannus for training Middle Eastern missionaries are making good progress. One did a fruitful survey trip to a new country and city to prepare and assess indigenous candidates for training as missionaries. Another is carefully selecting from among the many Middle Eastern workers in his country who are eager to be trained to go out. It’s happening! Keep praying!
