Healing

One great sign of progress in my sabbatical is that healing from my traumatic brain injury has accelerated and deepened.  I’ve had no symptoms for two months now, and my neuro-vision therapy continues to yield significant progress.  Meanwhile, I am continuing through the stages of my sabbatical:

  1. Release / Relinquish (October)

  2. Rest / Recovery (November – December)

  3. Reflection / Refocus (January - February)

  4. Realignment / Reassignment (March)

  5. Re-entry / Re-Engagement (April – May)

In Stage 3 I am now looking back over my 69 years of life and 42 years of ministry with The Navigators for greater insight into the story that God is writing in and through me.  God Who Guides, please lead David into the insights and direction that you have in mind for this next season.

Pray First!

P.S. Hudson, Lauren and their girls are settling in well with us here.  They are connecting with medical professionals for the birth, and with a school where their oldest daughter will enroll (along with one of her cousins!).  They are already talking about where to redeploy, but for now rest and settling in here for a few months are the priorities.
