Our Pride
Next week, we gather our “pride of Lyons” from across the globe for a week-long family reunion at a lodge in SW Colorado. Calvin and Hudson’s families are already filling our home. There are 27 of us now, and we’re more spread out than ever. So, this is an increasingly rare event. Father of every family in heaven and on earth, please knit this crazy “pride of Lyons” together in love.
PrayFirst,
David
P.S. One of the original Navigators, Jim Downing, once told me that the best time to measure the impact of an event is 6 months later, to see what really stuck. So, it’s early to assess the impact of our International Forum, but my sense is that the gathering was wonderfully blessed and will bear much fruit that will last for generations. We were inspired by many, many stories from around 73 nations represented. We’re all walking away with a clearer understanding of God’s calling and vision for us, and greater faith that He will accomplish it.
P.P.S. You may have noticed that Renée and I have been sprinting since February, overseas most of the time. Plus, there are some hard things happening that are draining us. We are feeling depleted and digging deep for grace to continue loving and serving. So, I’m taking the last ½ of June off. Please pray that God will renew our strength.
