En-COURAGE-ment

We are keenly aware that two of our children serve as missionaries in countries where one of the most prominent reasons for missionary attrition is discouragement.  As I compose this, we’re traveling to Japan to encourage our daughter, her family, and their missionary team, along with several alumni of our international student ministry from our days in DC.  God of all comfort, please use Renée and David to strengthen the souls of these missionaries and Japanese friends.  (Acts 14:22)

Please continue to pray for healing and rebuilding of trust in that portion of our work where there is disunity.  It is intense and exhausting for those involved.  Our team study of being led and empowered by the Holy Spirit was fruitful and encouraging, and we are very encouraged to see how He IS leading and empowering our Regional Directors in follow throughs from the November International Council.  I am pleased to report that now nearly $50k has come into toward the $66K that we need to close the gap for our 2023 funding.  Please keep asking with us that God will close that gap.
