Warrior Prayer

Renée and I were flying back from Atlanta last Wednesday when I became very sick.  I passed out and became unresponsive, vomiting and convulsing.  It really looked like I might die.  Renée was terrified.  A doctor on board had the flight diverted to Memphis where an ambulance took me to a hospital.  After a day of extensive tests, they concluded that a sleeping brace I was using had pinched my carotid artery and / or my vagal nerve.  I was already weak because of a virus and dehydration, so everything went south quickly.  We finally got home Friday night, and I’m continuing to recover from the virus.  We had already planned to vacation this next week, and we will do so.

This comes during an intense series of health issues swirling around each of our key teams.  Then this morning the child of one of our staff committed suicide.  We believe that the enemy is trying hard to distract us.  He must be threatened by something we’re doing.  Please pause and pray the warfare prayer below with us.

WARFARE PRAYER

Holy Father,

Keep, guard, and protect us and our fellow workers in Your name, the name which You gave to Jesus which He placed on us.  We are Your sons and daughters, bearing Your name and Your likeness and carrying Your presence.  We live in the shadow of Your wings.  

You take full responsibility for us as your sheep.  We take comfort in the rod that You use to protect us from enemies, and the staff that You use to guide us to stay close to You.  You are the Good Shepherd Who protects us from the thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy.  We take refuge in You and vicariously bring our fellow workers with us.  

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to You, and You are completely with us and for us.  In fact, You have seated us with Jesus at Your right hand, and in us all the fulness of deity lives in bodily form, and in Him we have been made full, and He is the head over all rule and authority.  

Therefore, in Jesus’ powerful name and because of His shed blood we order all enemy spirits who are attacking the hearts and minds and bodies of Navigator leaders and their families or preparing to do so to stop harassing our people.  We bind you in Jesus’ powerful name.  We forbid you from continuing your schemes.  You are trespassing.  So, in Jesus’ name we command you to go to the foot of the cross and from there go wherever Jesus may send you.  

In Jesus’ holy name, Amen!
