Integrated Integrity
What do you do when you feel very inadequate? Pray! And ask your friends to pray! This Friday in Kathmandu, Nepal I’ll be speaking on Integrated Integrity at a small conference for Nepali pastors. This was arranged by Dr. K.J. John, a dear Malaysian friend from our international student ministry days in Washington DC. Apparently Dr. John thinks more highly of me than I think of myself. But I am honored. I long deeply to be a channel of God’s blessing and encouragement for these dear fellow workers in a very challenging environment. We also hope to connect with another friend from our days in DC, Mahabir Pun, who has now become famous for his work among his people in the highlands of Nepal. You can read about Mahabir at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahabir_Pun. He’s a fascinating modern day hero. Please pray that God will put His words on our lips and enable us to deeply encourage these Nepali brothers in Christ.
Prayer update: Remember the last time you set out to encourage someone, but came back encouraged by them? That was our experience in the Gulf States. We went to see how their faith was, and found that the faith and patience of Abraham is thriving among our fellow workers there. We’re told that we encouraged them also.
