Pulling Together
Do you find yourself wishing that various churches and Christian organizations would just learn to pull together? I think God put that longing into us. Jesus said that we’d be able to recognize His true disciples by how we love one another. That’s because it is so challenging to actually work together in practical ways.
Over the last 3-4 years I’ve been trying to work out strategic partnering with a sister organization. God has given us encouraging progress. Even so, we’ve come to a difficult crossroads where we need a series of miracles to experience true strategic partnering, and financial sustainability for the sister organization. Please pray that we will genuinely experience what Solomon described when he said “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)
Prayer update: Last night Renee and I went out to eat after the last of 5 days of International Executive Team meetings over the last 2 weeks. (It’s been a joy to have Renee and other IET wives joining us in most of those meetings.) We were rejoicing over how God is blessing our new team with such unity and synergy. There was much laughter, earnest prayer, rich time in the Word, a few moments of tension (with healthy resolution), and a strong overall sense that the wind is in our sails. Thank you for praying!
