Ruthless

I don’t usually write about our vacations, but many have been concerned about my health.  God is working wonderfully in my slow recovery from my bike accident last summer.  That face-plant has turned into a “hard reset” for my lifestyle.  I’m learning to apply many principles from Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Comer.  That’s led me to change my daily routines, skip some activities during our ministry trips, and you’ll be glad to hear that this week we’re enjoying a vacation.  Good Shepherd, please lead David and Renée to quiet waters and establish refreshing rhythms in their life and work.  (Psalm 23:2)

 PrayFirst!

P.S. Our 3 day retreat to rebuild the leadership team in one Middle Eastern country was intense and richly fruitful.  One leader said that day by day the next steps have seemed impossible, but again and again God has done them anyway.  When I asked another with whom there had been some intense confrontations, “Are we good?” He responded by saying, “No, we are not good….  We are excellent!”  This young team has a hard road ahead, but now it is a good road with a bright future.
