I Hate This

I hate this, and love it.  I love being in that place where we’re trusting God for what only He can do.  And I hate feeling so vulnerable.  Every year at this time I’m a bit anxious about how our year-end funding is going to turn out.  I confess that this year I’m feeling even more anxious because the initial response seems very small, 10% of the $53K that we need.  So, please pray with me.  Heavenly Father, please fill us with confidence that You will provide according to Your riches in glory, then do what only You can do!  You’ve said, ‘Ask and you will receive so that your joy may be made full.’  So, we’re asking!  (John 16:23)

 PrayFirst,

David

P.S. The first thing that Renée said after our neighborhood Christmas party was, “The ‘magic’ is happening!  God is answering our prayers!”   Conversations were deep.  New connections were enthusiastic and promising.  One new couple asked me to pray for them right there within 10 minutes of meeting them.  Another woman asked to join the new “Together” group that God is bringing together to explore following Jesus together.  It sure looks like God is once again doing that thing that He does when we pray and keep praying.

P.P.S.  Here is a link to my 15-minute message on the Vinedresser’s Path to Fruitfulness that I preached a few weeks ago.  I’ve never received so much sustained feedback on a message.  Not even close.  May the Lord continue to use it: Videos - The Navigators National Staff Gathering 2023
