Renee and I just returned from Lebanon where we went to encourage leaders of our work there and across the region.  Every day brought a feast of mutual encouragement. 
 

We all need encouragement all of our lives.  Some of the most significant moments in my life have been when someone came alongside me and said: I see God¹s hand on your life. I believe in you. I am with you. With God¹s help you can do this. 
 

It's football season, and there are times when your team is down and you feel like your quarterback just has to throw a touchdown pass to win the game.  (Yes, I did just watch the Broncos win again.)  After talking with our daughter and son down in Fortaleza today, I have a similar feeling.

How do you pray for a child of God who is running away from Him?  Our hearts are breaking as we pray for Laticia, the young woman I told you about in in Fortaleza.   God saved her from her addiction to cocaine back in June.  She went through intensive discipleship and stayed clean for months.

Chaos and Violence Rack The Middle East.  This headline could have appeared anytime during the first centuries of The Church when people from various religious backgrounds were turning to Christ in a rising tide.  We read the headlines these days and groan.
